In clinical studies the most common side effects were increased blood pressure and/or heart rate, headache, dry mouth, constipation, and sleeplessness. Most people who get side effects get them early on (in the first four weeks) and find they wear off over time. Generally, any side effects are usually mild enough for people to decide to carry on taking Reductil.
Reductil cannot be taken by pregnant women or the women breast-feeding their babies.
